United Methodist Women Invites Applications for Financial 
Literacy Initiatives
United Methodist Women is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations working to promote financial literacy in the United 
States and around the world.Through the Living Stewardship: 
Creating Financial Literacy initiative, grants of up to $25,000 
will be awarded to nonprofit organizations working to empower and 
educate their constituents through the knowledge and development 
of financial literacy skills. Priority will be given to projects that 
build the capacity of individuals to change their own situations and 
prioritize the involvement of women in project initiation, implementation, and evaluation. 
Funds can be requested to start a new project or to strengthen an 
ongoing program.To be eligible, organizations must be tax exempt 
under 
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.See the United 
Methodist Women Web site for eligibility and application 
guidelines.
